I grew up in Shanghai and majored in computer science at Cornell. I've been at Meta since 2020 and live in New York with my wife. I speak Chinese, English and French.

Before moving to AI agents, I built the compute behind the next generation of Deltoid, Meta's A/B test evaluation tool, and before that, privacy-preserving systems using techniques like differential privacy.

Here I write about what working with AI agents has actually changed. Outside work I make vlogs on YouTube, read a lot, and live with Humi, a cat with her own Instagram following.
